This pattern is available from etsy.com for £3.50.

The pattern is for a cushion/pillow worked in Tunisian Knit stitch with a Celtic Knot worked in post stitches. The border also used Friendship Stitch. Instruction for all stitches are given in the pattern. You will need a 7mm Tunisian hook and a 6mm standard crochet hook.

The pattern as written should give you an 18” cushion. However this can be adjusted as you work the border rows - a looser tension than normal will make it easier to work the post stitches while keeping the TKS even.

You will need 300gm light aran or heavy DK and 5 buttons. If you decide to make an envelope back for the cushion you will need an additional 50gm yarn but no buttons.

The cushion/pillow looks good in natural wool, as in the photograph, but the earliest Celtic designs were always worked in bright colours.

This would make a perfect gift, since the never-ending Celtic Knot is a symbol of everlasting love.
