Joanna Filip’s design (pages xx–xx) is inspired by Pierre Bonnard’s painting Still Life with Dog. The bowl of cherries evokes warm, sunny days, with bold colours that feel fresh and crisp. The joyful composition carries a sense of nostalgia, reminiscent of holidays. Soft textures and comforting warmth are woven throughout the sweater, creating a piece that is both cozy and timeless.

MATERIALS
Yarn: 7 (8, 8, 9, 9) (10, 10, 11, 11, 12) balls of Le Petit Lambswool by Biches & Bûches (100% lambswool, 270 yds / 248 m – 50 g), in the colourway Dark Red.

Two strands of yarn are held together throughout the pattern.

Or approx. 1850 (1940, 2045, 2190, 2375) (2485, 2670, 2845, 2945, 3150) yds / 1690 (1770, 1870, 2000, 2170) (2270, 2440, 2600, 2690, 2880) m of light-fingering-weight yarn.

Alternative yarn suggestions are for example Highland by Isager, Bio Shetland GOTS by BC Garn or Cascade 220 Fingering by Cascade Yarns. Each of these yarns should be worked with 2 strands held together.

Needles: US 6 / 4 mm 16–48” / 40–120 cm circular needles for the body and sleeves, US 4 / 3.5 mm at least 32” / 80 cm circular needles for the hem and US 4 / 3.5 mm 16” / 40 cm circular needles, DPNs or long circular needles if using the Magic Loop method, for the cuffs and the neckband.

Notions: 6 stitch markers (2 of them removable), stitch holders or waste yarn.

GAUGE
17 sts x 28 rounds and rows to 4” / 10 cm on US 6 / 4 mm needles in Eyelet Stitch Pattern (Charts A or C), after blocking.

Use Chart A (flat) and C (in the round) to swatch.

NOTES
The sweater is knitted seamlessly from the top down in the Eyelet Stitch Pattern. It begins with the back, followed by each shoulder. Once the front and back are joined, the body is worked in the round and the hem is finished with a 1 x 1 Rib. Then the sleeves are knitted in the round, ending with cuffs in 1 x 1 Rib. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline to work the ribbed neckband. All sts are bound off using the Tubular BO method. Note! Use 2 strands of yarn held together throughout the pattern.
