Chai Latte Pullover overview
The Chai Latte Pullover combines an incredible cable-look, rich texture, and a beautifully relaxed fit. Designed with versatility in mind, it includes multiple length options for every size, three distinct collar styles, and a variety of ribbing finishes to suit your personal style. By simply changing the yarn, fit, or styling details, you can create endless variations, making this a design you’ll return to again and again. And it’s fully reversible, as you can see from the pictures above!
I named it “Chai Latte” because of its cosy, comforting feel, like a Chai Latte on a slow morning!
Sizing:
Because of the construction of this pullover, this pattern does not come with standard measurements but with a given set of width/length combinations possible.
For the circumference of the pullover at the bust:
90 (115,140,165, 190) cm
For each size, you can pick amongst 4 length option (from cropped to oversized length):
40 (48,55,67) m
Yarn & Yardage
Sport Weight yarn. I used Merino Blend 4 ply by King Cole (50 g=180 m, 100% superwash merino) in colour 3296-Dune.
Length L1 (high-hip): 1220(1440,1530)(1750,1980)m
Length L2 (high-hip): 1300(1500,1720)(2020,2230)m
Length L3 (oversized): 1580(1870,2160)(2540,2820)m
Length L4 (oversized): 1790(2135,2480)(2930,3270)m
To hold two strands of yarn together, I recommend two strands of lace yarn.
For example: Lana Grossa Cool Wool Lace (50g=400 m, 100% merino) and Mayflower Super Kid Silk (25g=195m, 76% mohair, 24% silk). The yardage is here reported for each size as Lana Grossa Cool Wool Lace m, Mayflower Super Kid Silk:
Combinations are reported for L2 and L4:
Length L2 (high-hip): 1200, 1365(1600,1755,2000,1950) m
Length L4 (oversized length): 1600,1755(2800,2925,3200,3120) m
Construction
The Chai Latte pullover is crocheted in four different panels: two panels for the body, and two panels for the sleeves. These panels are crocheted lengthwise.
The shaping of the collar is obtained by skipping braid repeats.
These two panels are seamed together at the shoulder. Then, the collar is crocheted onto the body directly. Sleeves panels are crocheted separately and sewn onto the body. The sleeves are also crocheted lengthwise, using different braid motifs for better shaping. The sides are seamed. Bottom ribbing and cuffs are then added.
