The Champion Socks were inspired by two women, Jane of Family Tree Yarns and Kelly of Lay Family Yarn. These two ladies gave me the support and courage to publish my first pattern, and I’m not sure I would have ever hit publish on my first design without them.

These socks are worked in the round, cuff down, with a short row heel and wedge toe. The directions are for a 64st sock, but with the option to work it in any multiple of 8sts. So whilst there is a recommended gauge and needle size, these socks can be knit in whatever way works for you.

Two alternating stitch patterns are showcased throughout the sock, separated by a purl border and a 1x1 colourwork round.

Designed with 5x 20g minis of sock yarn in mind these socks can also be knit in one colour, swapping out the 1x1 colourwork round in between each colour change for a knit round.

Thank you so much Jane and Kelly for being two my first yarn friends and championing me when my anxiety was getting the better of me. I am always amazed by what can be done when we all raise each other up.
