A quick last minute gift for a special person in your life, or for yourself! Knit using super bulky yarn, this hat can be completed in as little as two hours (depending on your knitting speed)! Ribbing is folded over to keep your ears extra warm and the hat is knit in a lovely garter stitch. Put a faux fur, real fur or yarn pom pom on the top for a stylish look! Knit several, this hat is a fun, quick project.

You need 1-2 skeins of Malabrigo Caracol* or 1 skein of Mirasol Ushya, or approximately 90 yards of any super bulky yarn. I have knit three hats using the Caracol yarn. Two had 21-26 grams remaining. The third hat required 24 grams of a second skein. I believe this was because the yarn was almost all “thick” and therefore the skein had less yardage. But then there is lots for a yarn pom pom if you like!
