A free version is also available.
Charlie the Chestnut is an adorable amigurumi crochet pattern designed for advanced/confident beginners who are ready to level up their skills while keeping things fun and manageable.
This pattern is written in US crochet terms (English only) and features varying stitch counts throughout, so you’ll need to pay close attention to your rounds. If you’re comfortable working in continuous rounds and keeping track of your stitches with a marker, you’ll love making Charlie.

Pattern Notes
- All parts are worked in continuous rounds unless stated otherwise.
- Stitch counts vary - pay close attention at the end of each round.
- Keep tension consistent throughout.
- Safety eyes are a choking hazard and are not suitable for children under 3 years. Embroidered eyes are a great alternative.
- Yarn weight and fibre can be customised, but ensure you change your hook size according to the yarn you use. This will also affect the final size.
