Spectacular fall foliage in the deepening sunset paints streaks of color that seem to chase each other across land and sky.

Worked on the bias, this generous rectangular shawl creates bands of colour that ripple across the shawl from end to end.

Two skeins 400 yd/4 oz (365m/113g) Main Color, Dark chocolate
One Gradient Set (seven 133 yd/121m per 1.3 oz/38g skeins)

8 color shawl:
Two skeins 400 yd/4 oz (365m/113g) plus one toe for the 26” wide shawl, Main Color, shown in Dark chocolate.

Size and general yarn requirements:
7-color shawl:
72” x 18”: MC 550 m/602 yds, 7 colours each with 72 m/101 yds.
72” x 26”: MC 730 m/798 yds, 7 colours each with 92-115 m/100-140yds.
8-color shawl:
82” x 18”: MC 630 m/689 yds, 8 colours each with 72 m/101 yds.
82” x 26”: MC 784 m/857 yds, 8 colours each with 92-115 m/100-140yds.

Difficulty/stitches required: Intermediate.
Knit, purl, yo, k2tog, p2tog, ssk, p2togtbl, kfb, i-cord, Chinese waitress cast on (video link provided).
