Checked Satchel
Tunisian crochet is a different method of crochet (similar to knitting) consisting of a “forward pass” (working right to left and picking up all the stitches in a row) and the “return pass” (working back, left to right, to remove the stitches from the hook).
This pattern is intended for beginners and full instructions (with colour photos) are given in the accompanying Stitch Guide.
You can use any 2 colours of 2mm macrame cord (175m of each colour).
As you will only have a maximum of 7 stitches on the hook at any time, there is no need to purchase a special Tunisian hook; a standard crochet hook (without a raised handle) will be fine.
Other haberdashery needed:
- 3m webbing (3.5cm wide)
- 4 d-rings (4cm wide)
- 2 rectangle rings (4cm wide)
