The Checkerboard Slouch has a great texture and a fun stitch composition. The pattern looks great in 2 (or more) colors and also looks great in a solid color. I recommend using a light worsted weight yarn. My pattern testers had great results with Red Heart Soft, Bernat Sheep-ish, Deborah Norville Everyday Soft, and Caron Simply Soft.
