This cheeseburger baby dress and hat were the brain child of my son who’s friend was expecting a baby 2 years ago, he kept teasing her that the baby was a cheeseburger, so when it came time for the baby shower he asked me to come up with a cheeseburger baby dress for her. I came up with this outfit and finally got around to writing the pattern down.

I used Red heart super saver yarn in warm brown and coffee for the body of the dress and then used honeydew, red, yellow, white, medium thyme, and frosty green. The colors can be substituted to whatever you have around because other than the warm brown and coffee you only use small amounts of the other colors to make the appliques. I also used a small amount of off white chunky yarn to make the sesame seeds but you can just use off white or white worsted weight yarn that you double to get the thickness.

The pattern works up quick and is fun to make and a delight to see on a little one.
