Chequered Cowl
‘A checkered cowl with a simple textured stitch pattern made from knit and purl stitches’
The cowl shows how only two two stitches: knit and purl can create an interesting textured surface. There are photo-illustrated guides to the provisional cast on and three needle bind off methods (youtube videos describe the Kitchener stitch well).
