Sampler Cowl, designed for DK yarn. There are instructions for a cowl knit flat and one knit in the round. The pattern is based on the needlework samplers created to practice stitches. There are bands of double-moss stitch and moss-stitch. A good beginner knit to practice stitch patterns. There is a knitting pattern for a matching pair of sampler mittens available (listed seperately: ‘Sampler mittens and phone cosy’ - see last but one picture).

1 100g ball Stylecraft Recreate DK (40% Recycled Wool - 30% Recycled Acrylic - 30% Recycled Polyester, 350 m/383 yrds per 100g)
For Cowl Knit Flat: A pair of 4 mm (UK 8, US 6) knitting needles
For Cowl Knit In the Round: A 4 mm circular needle (40 cm/16 inches in length)
For Cowl Knit In the Round: (optional) A stitch marker
A tapestry needle
