Placing the last teacup gently on its saucer she couldn’t help but feel so grown up. This was her first real tea set, and she was about to host her first tea party. She was reminded of the many childhood tea parties with her sisters using their pink and purple plastic tea set. Her sisters were due to arrive any minute. The chai tea had just started brewing in her cherry blossom tea pot, the matching teacups sat patiently awaiting their hot tea.

Cherry Blossoms is a cuff down sock pattern knit in a luxurious alpaca-silk-cashmere blend. A sweet cherry blossom design along the side of socks is created using duplicate stitches. This design was inspired by my first grown-up tea set.

This pattern comes in five sizes, written for 56, 60, 64, 68 and 72 sts. The pictures shown have the Cherry Blossoms knit with intarsia, although after going through testing, the pattern was updated for duplicate stitch instead. Either method can be used, but the duplicate stitch will give a cleaner and neater finish due to the delicate cherry blossom design.

While the pattern was designed to use Hedgerow Yarns Luxury Alpaca 4ply on US size 0 (2.0 mm) needles, you can adjust the pattern to use any sock yarn.

Cherry Blossoms is part of a three pattern collection - Teacup Sock Collection - available here on ravelry.

This pattern has been tech edited and test knit.
