Due to my cognitive disabilities, I am unable to do e.g. size gradings and coordinate a large test. For this reason, this pattern comes in one size only and in English only. However I am doing my very best to offer a well written pattern and include size modification tips.

I have been holding back my designs due to the above, but adventurous knitters have encouraged me to publish my patterns. They tell me, they are able to make their own modifications, and I want to accommodate them with my patterns.

Pay what you wish
I offer my patterns at a variable price structure. I’d like the acknowledgement of the work behind a design, but I also acknowledge that I don’t offer an extensive instruction. So I will let you decide what the right price is for you. Feel free to use the coupons below at check-out.

Knit bubbles without turning (continental knitting)

Cherry on Top is a really fun knit, meant for having fun with all your stashed handdyed yarn. It is knitted sideways starting at the right shoulder. A quarter circle shapes the Front right side, then a panel centers the poncho, and then the left side of the neckline is knitted. When the front neckline is finished, stitches are picked up at the cast on edge and a mirrored Back piece is knitted. When the back is finished, the Front and Back pieces are joined together and knitted flat across the left shoulder. The left side is finished off by a 3 needle bind off and the sleeve stitches are joined to knit in the round. The sleeve finishes off the top. Cherry on Top is seamless knitted, and easy to knit.

Cherry on top is decorated with lots of gorgeous bubbles, and the bright colors stand in lovely contrast to the more subtle colors. Pick the color palette that brightens your day.

Size/measurements
This pattern design comes in one size only. Please read the disclaimer on the Ravelry pattern page.
However the size is easy to modify. To help you do this, the pattern includes several tips on how to make size modifications.

Finished measurements
Length: 41 cm / 16”. The length is the same on the front, back, and the wedges sleeve.
Neckline circumference: 61 cm / 24”.
The width of the center panel: 8 cm / 3¼“.
Width of the seed stitch left side: 26 cm / 10¼”.
Upper arm circumference: 26 cm / 10¼“.
Length of sleeve: 26 cm / 10¼”.

Yarn
It’s time to play with all your stashed handdyed yarn. Cherry on Top is knitted using 2 strands of fingering weight yarn held together at all times. When holding 2 strands of yarns together it gives an interesting marled effect.

Gather a palette of fingering weight yarns that you like together. For a fun colorful version like mine, choose really bright colors and also choose more subtle colors to make it more peaceful. The subtle colors can be cream, yellow, rose, gray, wine, brown.

For the bubbles choose solid colored yarns to make them stand out. You can hold 2 strands of the same yarn together or just 2 similar colors of yarn.

Yardage
Sample used up 525 g, or 2100 m / 2300 yards. I recommend gathering at least twice as much yarn, so you have plenty to play with.
