Inspired by Claudia’s archive knit The Pixel, Chess brings back the iconic checkered pattern with a fresh twist. Now upgraded with a cozy turtleneck, longer sleeves, and an oversized fit, it’s the ultimate winter pullover — warm, bold, and effortlessly comfortable.

This sweater is worked from the top down with raglan shaping and a simple all-over colour work motif. When working stranded colour work, keep floats in the back loose to maintain stretch. For floats longer than 5 sts, catch yarn floats in the back. A small section of German Short Rows is worked at the front of neck and lower hem to give a better fit on the body.
Sleeve instructions are written to use DPNs, however an alternate method of working small circumferences can be used, such as Magic-Loop, or a short circular needle for the larger sizes. As the yoke increases or decreases, change to the appropriate length of circular needle.
