Chevronica is a truly reversible cowl. Knit and purl stitches are balanced - so the piece doesn’t curl.

I-cord edges give this cowl a beautiful finish.

The cowl can be worn wrapped twice to keep out the chill, or once for drape and drama.

Mohair/silk yarn is held with a fingering weight wool blend yarn -
to create that extra bit of cozy, velvety fuzz. You only need one of each.

For the fingering weight yarn, this piece can be worked with a single background color or with a 6 color gradient mini skein set. Color change sequence options for the mini skein fingering weight yarn are included.

This cowl is knit in the round, with two methods for i-cord joining.

Pattern has both charts and written instructions

The initial long i-cord is created using a US7 double pointed needle, and then stitches along one column of the i-cord are picked up using a US5 (or needle required to obtain gauge) circular needle. Creating an i-cord and picking up stitches is done - as opposed to an i-cord cast on, in order to have the chevron stitch pattern appear seamless on the first row.
