It’s 2020 and one of my friends told me she was expecting. I waited a month for the gender reveal only to find out instead that she’s expecting TWINS! Now I need TWO blankets and have to wait another month before the gender reveal YIKES! I need a pattern that I can knit on for a while before adding pink or blue. After thinking on it a bit, I decided on similar color scheme- gray and white and then add the pastel pink or blue. Easy TV knitting with some pizazz and voila…chevrons.

Finished blanket size 29 ½ ” x 34”
Gauge isn’t critical

I chose Pound of Love for two reasons. First, for the extra yardage and second, because website yarn shopping during a pandemic can be challenging. Feel free to substitute similar yarn of your choice.

Total yardage per blanket would be less than one full skein of Pound of Love, but if your changing the length and/or width, please account that you’ll need more yarn than listed. You also could adapt this for a scrappy version as well!
