This is a pattern for a cute and easy pokemon-- Flareon.

He’s part of my expanding collection of chibi pokemon designs, and the first of many Eeveelutions that I’m working on as well.

Using the recommended yarn and hook he will be about 3 1/2 to 4 inches tall at the head, and closer to 5 inches at the ear-tips. He’s consistent in size with my other pokemon amigurumi.

You’ll need a relatively small amount (not more than 40g) of orange yarn, a smaller amount of light yellow yarn, scraps of black yarn or embroidery thread, a 4mm crochet hook, some stuffing, plastic eyes (10mm is good), dark brown felt, and a yarn needle.

I think Flareon is the easiest of the original three Eeveelutions. The tail, neck-floof, and forehead-floof are all pretty straightforward. As with Eevee, the face can include a mouth or exclude a nose or you can do it exactly as I’ve done. Depending on the type of yarn you’ve used, you may have success brushing out the tail, neck-floof, and forehead-floof with a brush in order to make them extra fluffy!

I hope you enjoy!
