This is a pattern for a cute and fiddly pokémon-- Glaceon.

She’s part of my expanding collection of chibi pokemon designs.

Using the recommended yarn and hook she will be about 3 1/2 to 4 inches tall at the head, and closer to 5 inches at the ear-tips. She’s consistent in size with my other pokémon amigurumi and other chibi eeveelutions.

You’ll need a relatively small amount (not more than 40g) of light blue yarn, even smaller amounts of dark teal yarn and medium blue yarn, scraps of black yarn or embroidery thread, a 4mm crochet hook, some stuffing, plastic eyes (10mm is good), and a yarn needle.

Glaceon is fun and a little bit tricky, mostly due to the color matching required. I couldn’t find a dark teal yarn and dark teal felt that were anywhere close to matching, so I ended up doing all of the diamond accents in yarn. I think felt would be a better and much faster alternative if possible. Make sure to squish the parts of the forehead piece and sew them tightly, or it will be too thick. Oh, and I only put one diamond on the back instead of two like on the real Pokémon. If you’re using felt you’d probably have space for two. There are a lot of parts, but it goes together pretty easily.

I hope you enjoy!
