When the blustery weather arrives, be prepared to keep your hands toasty. The hand warmers are knit with sock yarn or extra-fine yarn and doubled-stranded throughout for extra warmth. The back of the hand is a textured pattern, while the palm side is smooth stockinette stitches for comfort. Fold the hands’ cuffs down or for extreme warmth in the cold, unfold them to just about cover the fingertips.

This pattern is also a great way to use up that stash yarn taking up space, doubling it to create an interesting blend and texture.

Loose knitters - choose the smaller size needle such as U.S. 0 (2mm) and tight knitters - choose a larger size needle such as U.S. 2.5 (3mm).
