This hat is a result of tinkering with existing patterns that I was unhappy with for one reason or another. I did draft it myself, but it is inspired by this hat pattern and this colorwork. I like it because it’s simple and quick — I knit one up in about a week of inconsistent knitting.

Need
140 yds/50 g Main Color (MC) DK weight yarn (plus more if you want a bigger hat)
40 yds/15 g Contrast Color (CC) DK weight yarn
Larger set DPNs — I used 3.75 mm needles
Smaller set DPNs — I used 3.00 mm needles
4 stitch markers
Small needle and long cable circular needle set — for picking up hem
