This scarf came about as the result of a request from my sister. She had seen a photo of a scarf that she loved, which had pattern support, but only in Russian, with a sketchy English interpretation. After knitting it up according to these instructions, I was not happy with the results and decided to rework the pattern entirely. A few weeks and several re-knits later, this is the resulting scarf. It consists of a centre panel of garter st and cables, and a border of ribbing that is picked up around the outside edge of the centre panel and worked in the round. There is also a knitted flower included in the pattern, which can be added to one end of the scarf, should you so desire. You will need an 80cm circular to do the border; I just used the same needle for the entire project, but do whatever works for you. This is a really easy, quick project, and I hope you enjoy it! My thanks to my test knitter, the lovely Sharon, aka inkedmom on ravelry, and her equally lovely daughter, Elizabeth, aka gilsongirl, for agreeing to model the scarf.
