Christmas is just over the horizon and I was asked to make a tree top angel. However when I looked for a pattern I discovered that there is a serious shortage of knit angels. I do not crochet- or not well enough to make an angel. So I decided to write my own pattern for a tree top angel. When she was finished I decided to make a mini version that can be done as an ornament, and a bonus for you all.
This angel is a very easy knit and yet she is elegant and suitable to adorn the top of any Christmas tree. She is worked in Loops and Threads Woolike yarn (1) but could just as easily be done in crochet cotton. She is starched to enable her to stand upright and hold her wings high.
The Ornament sized angel is a mini version of the tree top angel and instructions are given for her as well. She requires about 80m of yarn to finish.
Make one for the tree and make a few mini ones as gifts for those near and dear to you.
