The Christmas Lights Headband is a free crochet pattern on my blog.

Bring the glow of vintage Christmas lights to life with this irresistibly fun headband pattern! A clever stitch pattern creates the black “wire” and colorful glowing bulbs — no appliqués, no surface crochet, and no weaving in dozens of ends. Use a single ball of variegated yarn (Red Heart Super Saver “Mexicana” shown) for perfect retro rainbow lights, or switch to a solid color for a modern twist.

Once main body of headband is complete, fold, twist and sew. Add ribbing to bottom edge of headband to complete. So easy!

Approximate finished size:

Toddler: Approximately 17” circumference x 3 1/2” height
Child: Approximately 19” circumference x 4” height
Adult: Approximately 21” circumference x 4” height
