Here is a free pattern for a pair of thrummed mittens in bulky weight wool. (I chose Alafoss lopi for my mittens, but you could use any non-superwash bulky weight wool.) You will also need between 10 and 20 grams of roving to add for the thrums. I would classify this as an intermediate pattern intended for those who have knit basic mittens before and would like to try adding something to your work to make an extra warm pair. Enjoy.
