Knitting Pattern for my Christmas Tree pattern

  • Knit your tree and decorate it however you like!
  • Knitted using straight needles, there’s no working in the round
  • Easy - Intermediate knit, aimed at knitters who know the basics
  • This pattern uses Kfbf increases and K3tog decreases, like the edging of my mince pie
  • The digital pattern is written English, with a photo tutorial for sewing up

CHRISTMAS TREE MATERIALS:

Scheepjes Stone Washed XL - Aran
70% cotton and 30% acrylic, 75m per 50g
M - Main colour x 2 balls

Rico Creative Bubble, 100% polyester
C - Contrast colour x 10g

5mm (US 8) knitting needles
2 x 10mm toy eyes and washers, if making for a child, embroider the eyes instead
Black chunky yarn - for the smile
10mm pompoms - approximately 50 per tree. I used multicoloured pompoms for the green trees and pink, white, and red pompoms for the pink tree
Yellow felt and star template
60g toy stuffing
Darning needle
Sewing needle and cotton

FINISHED SIZE: 20cm tall x 35cm circumference at the widest point (8in tall x 14in circumference at the widest point)


SKILL LEVEL: Easy - Intermediate. This pattern is aimed at knitters who know how to knit, purl, increase and decrease. A photo tutorial has been included for sewing up.

STITCHES USED: Knit, purl, increasing (Kfb and Kfbf), decreasing (K2tog, K3tog) and mattress stitch for sewing up.
