  • Knit your Mince Pie in two sizes, mini or giant
  • There’s no soggy bottoms with this recipe
  • Great stash buster if using DK yarn
  • Easy - Intermediate knit, aimed at knitters who know the basics
  • Knitted using straight needles, there’s no working in the round
  • For the Giant Mince Pie, I recommend using a pair of circular needles, but using them like straight needles
  • The digital pattern is written English, with a photo tutorial for sewing up

DK MINCE PIE MATERIALS:

Stylecraft Special DK
100% acrylic, 295m per 100g

M - Main Colour - Camel x 15g per mince pie
B - Brown x 10g per mince pie
A small amount of black yarn for the smile

Stylecraft Wondersoft 2ply
50% premium acrylic, 50% polyamide

C - White x 5g per mince pie
The 2ply yarn is held with the M yarn when knitting the star that is placed on the top of the mince pie. This creates a variegated look to give the appearance of icing sugar.

4mm (US 6) knitting needles
A handful of toy stuffing
Darning needle
2 x 10mm toy eyes and washers per mince pie

Finished Size: The diameter of the finished mince pie is approximately 9cm (31/2in).

SUPER CHUNKY MINCE PIE MATERIALS:

Stylecraft Special XL Tweed - Super Chunky
97% acrylic, 3% viscose, 68m per 100g

M - Main Colour - Camel x 2 balls per mince pie
B - Gingerbread x 1 ball per mince pie
A small amount of black yarn for the smile

Any white or cream DK yarn, I like to use
Rico Essentials Acrylic Anti-Pilling DK as it has a nice shine to it, but you could also use Stylecraft Special DK.
C - Cream x 15g per mince pie

The DK yarn is held with the M yarn when knitting the star that is placed on the top of the mince pie. This creates a variegated look to give the appearance of icing sugar.

100g toy stuffing
Darning needle
2 x 21mm toy eyes and washers per mince pie
If making your project in super chunky yarn I recommend using a pair of 9mm (US 13) circular knitting needles with a 60cm cable

Finished Size: The diameter of the finished mince pie is approximately 24cm (91/2in).

SKILL LEVEL: Easy - Intermediate. This pattern is aimed at knitters who know how to knit, purl, increase and decrease. A photo tutorial has been included for sewing up. There is some turning in the middle of the row to create the star.

STITCHES USED: Knit, purl, increasing, decreasing and mattress stitch for sewing up.

Please note the price of the pattern will vary from country to country due to digital VAT laws. I’ll receive the same amount per sale.
