My Christmas present for you: a mini project bag to carry all your UfO’s along with you in the coming year. The tote goes with the hat & Trees sweater I published this month. Because what is a lady without a matching bag? Also a good project to finish your waste yarn with.

The bag is basically constructed out of two circles: one fabric knit in the round for the body and one for the strap that provides bottom, sides and strap in one. The central trees on the body are sewn in with the duplicate stitch. No shaping is needed, that is no decreases or increases are used. The colorwork is partly done with stranded technique (the strap), the motifs on the body are done in duplicate stitch sewing. The pattern includes a written part, charts and a scheme for putting all the parts together: easy does it.

Aran, SOVEN, 100% naturfreundlich naturschafwolle, (300m/200g) (328yd/200g), colors dark brown (MC) and pink (CC) used for body and strap: MC used 212m/140g 231yds/140g and CC used 45m/30g 49yds/30g.
