About the Chunky Batty Tee
The Chunky Batty Tee is a chunkier version of the Batty Tee that goes well with high-waisted pants and skirts. You can choose between a scoop and a square neckline and between two lengths. The shirt is worked top down in a broken rib stitch. You begin by working back and front separately and start shaping the square or scoop neckline. The front and the back are then joined in the round in order to work the length of the body. Afterwards you’ll add some short sleeves and finish the neckline with an i-cord edge.

General Information
Sizes: A/75 (B/80) C/85 (D/90) E/95 (F/100) G/105 (H/115) I/125 (J/135) K/145 (L/155)

Size guide
The Chunky Batty Tee is designed to have an ease of about -5 to + 5 cm in relation to the bust circumference depending on your preferred width. If you’re in between sizes, I’d choose the smaller one, especially as rib pattern and cotton yarns tend to widen with use.

The sizes are meant to fit (size/made to fit a bust circumference of…cm):
A/75 (B/80) C/85 (D/90) E/95 (F/100) G/105 (H/115) I/125 (J/135) K/145 (L/155). Measurements of the finished shirt after washing (bust circumference): 75 (80) 85 (90) 95 (100) 105 (115) 125 (135) 145 (155) cm.

You can also decide between two lengths: Choose length A if you like a rather cropped shirt, length B if you prefer a regular length. Since the shirt is worked from the top down it can be tried on during the knitting process so that the length can be adjusted to your needs (but keep in mind that adjustments may influence yardage).

Measurements of the shirt (after washing):
• Bust circumference: 75 (80) 85 (90) 95 (100) 105 (115) 125 (135) 145 (155) cm
• Length A (measured in the back): 40 (40) 41 (41) 41 (42) 42 (43) 43 (45) 45 (47) cm
Length B (measured in the back): 50 (50) 51 (51) 51 (52) 52 (53) 53 (55) 55 (57) cm

Materials
The shirt is knitted with one strand of cotton yarn or a cotton-blend yarn as for example Petunia from Rauma Garn (50g/110m) or any other yarn in a similar quality (8ply/DK/worsted):

• For length A you need 250 (250) 250 (300) 300 (300) 350 (350) 350 (400) 450 (500) g.
• For length B you 300 (300) 300 (350) 350 (350) 400 (450) 450 (500) 550 (600) g.

Yarn alternatives
The alternative yarn options for the Chunky Batty Tee are almost endless, as long as you achieve gauge everything is fine. Some yarn suggestions of my test knitters are:
Line from Sandnes Garn, Pima from Lana Grossa, Soft Cotton from Lang Yarns, Belle or Bomull- Lin from Drops or Morning Salutation from Kremke Soul Wool.

Gauge: 10x10cm = 19 sts x 30 rows worked on 4 mm needles in broken rib stitch (after washing).
Attention: It is important to measure the gauge after washing, as it will still widen slightly during washing due to the rib pattern.

Needles: 4 mm circular needles (40 cm and 80-100cm), 4 mm double pointed needles (unless
you’re using the magic loop method).

Please note: as English is not my native language minor grammatical mistakes can occur. This should not influence the understandability of the pattern and it has been carefully tested by my lovely testknitters, but if there are any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us via joselotta@posteo.de .
