Knit your own chunky beanie hats in all sizes using this simple knitting pattern. These chunky beanies are stretchy and thick. They are designed to fit like skullcaps, and are not slouchy; however, if you make a size larger than you normally wear, these beanies become slouchier. The swirl top pattern adds an interesting feature to a basic solid color hat.

This is a pattern that is great for beginning knitters who have a general understanding of knitting in the round with double point needles. Because you will use multiple strands of worsted weight yarn at the same time to knit these hats, they work up very quickly. They make a great easy quick handmade gift for friends and family.

This is an easy to intermediate knitting pattern that requires knitting in the round. Any worsted weight yarn should work for this pattern (check your gauge), but it was designed with Caron Simply Soft Yarn. Included are complete instructions for Adult XL, Adult, Child, Baby, Infant, and Preemie Size hats.

This pattern calls for one 315-yard skein (6 ounces) of worsted weight Caron Simply Soft Yarn, in your choice of color. But, this pattern is great for that extra yarn you may have laying around. Try mixing and matching solid colors, or a variagated multicolored yarn to spice things up.
