This blanket features a cable design, bracketed by a textured border, worked at an angle. The body of the blanket is stockinette with a narrow textured border. The design can be worked in a single color or using intarsia for the cable band.

If worked in a single color in fingering weight yarn you will need about 800 yds (730 m). The blue blanket used 3 balls of blue, 1 ball of green-yellow, and partial balls of yellow and white.

For a single color blanket in DK, you will need about 1,000 yds (914 m). This blanket used 4 balls of cream, 1 ball of yellow, and partial balls of blue, green, purple, and a print.

6 stitch markers and a cable needle are recommended.

The pattern includes charts for the cable, texture patterns, and diagrams for the starting and ending corners. Instructions for the starting and ending corners have also been written out. I’ve also included the stitch count needed to make a larger (more cable repeats) blanket.
