City Hoodie can be used as a hoodie or as a hooded cowl. The version with the short face opening can be used as cowl, only wearing the hood up in windy and tough weather. The version with the large face opening fits loosely around the face and the hood can be worn in many ways. Both hoodies are comfortable with plenty of room for a big or wavy hair. Optionally you can make the face edging or just the drawstring in a contrast color.

Sizes: One-size in 2 versions - with a large or short face opening.

Yardage:
Eco Cashmere Vintage from Gepard: 3 hanks for a one-colored hoodie (you will use approx. 2½ hanks).
Drawstring: Contrast color: 10-15 g Eco Cashmere Vintage or My Wool from Gepard.
My Wool: Contrast color: 1 ball for face edging and drawstring if face edging is worked in a contrast color.

Yarn alternatives:
1) Pura Lana: 4 balls of 50 g + Cashmere Lace: 1 hank of 25 g for face edging (worked with 2 strands).
2) CashSock Chunky: 2 hanks of 100 g + extra for face edging.
3) CottonWool 5: 5 balls of 50 g including yarn for face edging.

Needles & Tools:
Japanese Koshitsu bamboo needles from Seeknit and Gepard in following sizes:
4 mm circular needle (40 or 50 cm).
Two 4 mm double pointed needles for the I-cord drawstring.

Minimum 8 ring stitch markers to place on the needle.
Large eye tapestry needle for finishing and pulling drawstring through face edging.
A piece of waste yarn, 60 cm, for placing stitches on hold.

Gauge: 18 sts and 28 rows in stockinette stitch with Eco Cashmere Vintage on 4 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm.
