Have you ever been so fascinated with a subject that you spend months reading articles on it, binge-listening to podcasts and music centered around it, or watching documentary after documentary just to learn a little bit more? Lately I have been obsessed with all sorts of supernatural topics; like ghosts, demons, and aliens. The idea that there could be another world operating just outside our visual realm intrigues me, and even more so the idea that perhaps some people, known as clairvoyants, can experience and communicate with it… do you see what they see?

The yarn I chose for this project is Stonehedge Fibers’ Shepherd’s Wool, available from Fairlight Fibers. While wool can sometimes it can be stiff and scratchy, Shepherd’s Wool is unbelievably soft and squishy! This yarn is also very easy on the wallet, and Jess has sooooo many gorgeous colors to choose from on her website. You really can’t go wrong with this yarn; I highly recommend it! Use code “clairvoyantbeanie” on the Fairlight Fibers website to save $4 on any yarn purchase!

This one-skein beanie design features a beautiful cable-knit hourglass pattern that is perfect for an intermediate knitter, though an adventurous beginner could probably complete it with a little practice. The finished Clairvoyant Beanie measures approximately 16” around at the brim and 9” tall (not including pom). This pattern also includes instructions for several modifications, including DK weight, bulky weight, twisted brim, and two-color versions.

To make this beanie (not including pom), you will need:

Approximately 190 yards of a worsted weight yarn

16” circular needles in US size 7

The following notions: Cable needle, yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker (optional)
