Claudia the Christmas Tree Cat is a bit of a mystery. No one is quite sure whether she’s a cat WEARING a Christmas tree, or a cat who IS a Christmas tree, but either way, she seems to be stuck like this. She’s decided to embrace her fate and has enjoyed decorating herself with garlands, ornaments, and of course, a perfect little star!

This 13-page crochet pattern contains all of the instructions and photos you will need in order to create your own Christmas tree cat complete with ornaments and garlands. There is also an additional 6-page printer-friendly version of the pattern included. This pattern has been thoroughly tested and proofread to be easy to follow. You are welcome to sell finished objects made from this pattern.

Skill-level: Intermediate

The recommended yarn/hook combo will result in a project ~7 in/7 cm tall. However, feel free to use your preferred yarn/hook combo. Using a thicker yarn will result in a larger finished project. Basic crochet techniques and stitches (magic ring, single crochet, slip stitch, chain, increase, invisible decrease, half-double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, working into front/back-loop stitches, and color changes) are used in this pattern. Instructions are provided for face shaping and the invisible color change.

Materials:
Yarn: Cotton sport (#2) weight yarn or yarn of your choice (~248 yd/227 m)
Hook: 2.75mm or the appropriate hook for your yarn
Toy stuffing
Safety eyes: 10 mm or the appropriate size for your yarn
Embroidery thread
Stitch marker
Yarn needle
Scissors
