Coastline
Contrasting stripes accentuate the wavy lace that curves and flows between surrounding garter stitch blocks.
Coastline is knitted entirely on garter stitch, so there’s no purling.
You work this crescent-shaped shawl with two colours of fingering weight yarn. Choose calm colours for a timeless piece or make a statement with bold colours.
YARN
Two colours of Oslo Micro Dyery Merino Light (100% merino; 366 m / 400 yds per 100 g), one skein of both colours.
Shown in colours My grandmother’s favorite waste of time was to rewrite her will over and over (C1) and White trash (C2).
Or two colours of similar fingering weight yarn.
AMOUNT OF YARN
Colour 1(C1): 315 m / 344 yds
Colour 2 (C2): 267 m / 292 yds
NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge
This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
