Bold crosshatching is paired with radiating circle motifs around this warm, cap in four sizes (XS/S/M/L)—a fun, colorwork project to brighten up the last days of winter while dreaming of sun-drenched summer fields. This design pairs a strong, natural gray with a bright gradient yarn for color interplay without a lot of fuss. Use soft, lofty yarns that bloom easily for a final result with a consistent surface. This project is an excellent choice for those just starting out with stranded colorwork, as it is easy to work and quite addictive.

Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, elasticity, and yardage requirement.

Sample shown in size M and knit in Bare Naked Wools Stone Soup DK Marble and Slate Bare Naked Wools Kent DK, color Tide Pool (gray) with Feederbrook Farms Entropy in Sweet Corn, a custom gradient offered exclusively to Pairings 2018 club members.
