There are streets in London that have been walked for a thousand years. You feel it underfoot when you find them: the slight unevenness of the stones, worn smooth and rounded by centuries of feet passing over the same ground. Once you’ve noticed
it, it’s a type of texture you don’t forget. Present and ancient all at once. The older laneways of the city hold their character
stubbornly. Narrow, unhurried, they wind between
newer buildings that have grown up around them.
Worth seeking out, and worth slowing down for.

Cobblestones and Laneways is a warm, generous
triangle shawl worked in worsted weight yarn. Bands of
richly textured stitches build a fabric with real weight
and depth, framed by a deep rib border. Four colours
offer rewarding opportunities to play, but the texture
carries enough interest that a single shade works just as
beautifully. A shawl you’ll reach for again and again.
