Dive into your stash of worsted leftovers and small batches and plan a color scheme for this fabulous pieced throw.

Use a combination of five colors as shown in the sample, or as few as two … as many as a dozen. Each piece uses a different amount, with several partial balls finding a possible place here.

Blocks are made separately and joined while knitting the bands, with no sewing involved in the process. Horizontal bands are worked from live stitches, and vertical bands are worked from picked up stitches.

A specific yardage has been given for each individual part. Please add up the amounts for sections you wish to knit all the same color, to determine the correct totals.
