THE COLORFIELD VEST …

… is a modern slipover that adds a layer of warmth to any outfit. The vest is worked entirely in a two-colored garter stitch. Additionally, the intarsia technique is used to create big geometric overlapping shapes in different colors.

Seen from the distance it seems like fields in solid colors - coming closer, these fields dissolve into horizontal lines of two different colors. These are formed by the chain of bumps that are created by changing color every row in garter stitch. This gives the fabric an unusual - almost woven - look, playing with its appearance depending on the viewer’s distance. The two layers of perception keep the garment interesting beyond the first glance.

The play with overlapping shapes and colors is continued in the edging of the design by a significant offset in alignment at the bottom of the vest and the double knitted hems worked with color changes to expand the shapes at the armholes and neckline.

DIE COLORFIELD VEST …

… ist ein moderner Slipover, der jedem Outfit eine Extraportion Wärme schenkt. Der Slipover wird vollständig kraus rechts mit einreihigen Streifen gearbeitet. Dank der Intarsientechnik entstehen grosse, sich überlappende geometrische Formen in unterschiedlichen Farben.

Aus der Ferne als einfarbige Farbfelder wahrgenommene Flächen, lösen sich beim näheren Betrachten in einzelne horizontale Linien aus je zwei verschiedenen Farben auf. Dieser Effekt entsteht durch die einfarbigen Streifen in kraus rechts, wodurch das Gestrick eine ungewöhnliche fast gewebte Struktur erhält, die je nach Betrachtungsabstand ihr Erscheinungsbild verändert und den Slipover auch über den ersten Blick hinaus spannend macht.

Das Spiel von sich überlappenden Farben und Formen setzt sich in den Rändern fort: durch einen markanten Versatz am unteren Rand sowie signifikante Farbwechsel innerhalb der Blenden werden die Formen optisch fortgeführt.
