THE HIDDEN LINE CARDIGAN …
…is a voluminous knit that explores depth, color, and the quiet interplay between what is seen and what is revealed. Worked seamlessly from the top down, it begins with a double-knitted neck hem that continues into stabilizing shoulder lines along the sleeves, while the front opens into a V-neck framed by double-knitted edges worked on the go. These structural lines guide the transition across three color sections—from a solid shade into two-colored brioche and finally into the second color—linking structure, color, and silhouette.
The final gesture is both subtle and transformative. Fine crocheted lines are drawn between selected brioche ridges in a contrasting color—barely visible at first glance, yet revealed as the fabric moves. These “hidden lines” shift in and out of perception, enhanced by the three-dimensional nature of brioche, as if traced into the wool itself.
This delicate overlay introduces a new layer of texture and meaning, giving the cardigan its name: a study in lines that exist just beneath the surface, waiting to be discovered.

GERMAN

DER HIDDENLINE CARDIGAN …
… ist ein voluminöser Cardigan im Vollpatent, der mit Tiefe, Farbe und dem Wechselspiel zwischen sichtbar und verborgen spielt. Er wird nahtlos von oben nach unten gestrickt, beginnend mit einer Halsblende im Doppelstrick, die in eine stabilisierende Doppelstricklinie entlang der Schultern und Ärmel übergeht. Die Front wird mit einem V-Ausschnitt gearbeitet, dessen Doppelstrickblenden direkt mitgestrickt werden. Diese klaren Linien begleiten den Übergang durch drei Farbbereiche – von einer einfarbigen Fläche über zweifarbiges Vollpatent bis hin zur zweiten Farbe – und verbinden so Konstruktion, Farbe und Silhouette miteinander.
Den finalen Akzent setzen Linien in einer Kontrastfarbe, die zwischen ausgewählte Patentrippen gehäkelt werden. Erst durch die Bewegung des Strickstücks tauchen diese «versteckten Linien», die dem Cardigan seinen Namen geben, immer wieder auf und verschwinden .
… ein Spiel mit Linien, die knapp unter der Oberfläche liegen und darauf warten, entdeckt zu werden.
