This pattern is designed for knitters who know all the basics and want to learn stranded colorwork (commonly referred to as “Fair Isle Knitting”). The pattern lays out all the techniques you’ll need to know along with three beginner friendly motifs to try out. Becuase gauge can vary a lot when doing stranded knitting, I designed this pattern so that your gauge won’t matter and you can use that as a jumping off point for a pair of mittens or socks.

There is no specific gauge for this pattern because it will only affect the width of the headband and the length can be adusted to fit as you go.
