The winter wardrobe staple - heavy cables; cozy, springy wool; and of course the faux-fur pom - are given a little pomp and circumstance with funky cables, dialled-up texture, and a removable pompom for ease of care and endless customizing opportunities. You’ll want one in every colour (the pompoms too), and be warned: so will your friends.

Sizing up or down (beyond provided sizes): The hat is easily sized down by removing stitches from the dot stitch section (the last 4(6, 8) stitches of the Cable Stitch Pattern); and conversely, sized up by adding stitches to that section. To keep things even, add or subtract stitches in pairs to each pattern repeat. In this way the hat could be altered for children’s sizes, or extra large sizes.

Pattern includes full written as well as charted instructions.
