Comfort hand warmers
Who doesn’t love a quick, satisfying knit?
These hand warmers (fingerless mittens) feature a simple yet clever construction. They are worked sideways, knitting back and forth to create a rectangle that is then seamed to form the mitten. The ribbed cuff is worked at the same time and is created by alternating knit and purl rows over a smaller section of the piece.
This free pattern is available exclusively with the purchase of yarn from Cabana D’Yarna and will be released on Ravelry at the end of December.
Approximately 70 g of yarn is required for one pair. With three 50 g balls, you can comfortably knit two pairs.
To help the mittens keep their shape, the sample was knit using smaller needles (3.75 mm) with 12-ply yarn.
One size fits most teens and adults. The fabric is very stretchy—please allow for negative ease when choosing your size.
