This stranded knit beanie was inspired by a creativity prompt in a knitting class. One of the prompts was a picture of printed text. I was in the middle of Barbara Ehrenreich’s Dancing in the Streets: a History of Collective Joy, fell in love with the concept of “communitas” (the spirit of community) and went with it. These figures danced from the pages of Ehrenreich’s book!
