These entwined cables were inspired by the hearth at the centre of the home of G.F Watts and his wife Mary in Compton, Surrey,” explains designer Nicola Diggins. “He was the most important painter of his day, and she was a leading proponent of the Arts & Crafts movement and creator of the astonishing Watts Chapel.”
