This pattern is recommended for advanced beginner knitters. This ear warmer/headband pattern is knitted in the round. Pattern repeat is 4 stitches. This pattern uses stranded colour work technique (also known as, Fair Isle). Try not to knit too tightly and stretch work as you go. Instructions for average adult sized heads.

SUGGESTED NEEDLE SIZE:
Size US15/10mm 16” circular knitting needles
Size US11/8mm 16” circular knitting needles

SUGGESTED YARNS:
2 contrasting colours in any Super Bulky (weight 6) yarn.

GAUGE:
4” x 4” = 10 stitches and 13 rows in stockinette stitch using US15/10mm needles

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
Finished headband should measure 9” x 4” and fit an average adult head size of 21-23” in circumference.
