This scarf is worked in Garter Stitch, using the Intarsia colorwork technique which means each color change in the row must have its own yarn source. The yarn is not carried across the back of the scarf. Instructions on the intarsia technique are included in the pattern, as well as both written and charted instructions. Five colors of bulky yarn and size 11 (8mm) needles are used. The generous size of the scarf (8x67”) is wonderful when worked in a soft yarn. If you have not tried the intarsia technique, this is a great first project.
