CopperItUp
CopperItUp is knitted from top to bottom in one piece. The top becomes wider by increasements (M1R/L) and is finished with a bind off in rib. Finally, a cord of any kind is added, either a thick cord or the cord can be knitted in the same materials as the top. CopperItUp has a gauge/tension which can be easily matched with other yarns (e.g. cotton) than the selected one.
Needles
Needle size 3.5 mm – or a circular needle (not necessary) and/or double pointed needle size 3.5 (to tube cord)
Sizes
XS (S) M (L)
Chest measurements (measure from the center, just below the armpit, across the chest to the opposite side): 44 (46) 48 (50) cm
Threads
One thread but the pattern can easily be adjusted to fit two threads
Yarn
4 different types of yarn balls of Lammy Lurex to make the stripes on my top. The top weighs between 35 and 50 g which is approx. 2 (2) 2 (2) identical yarn balls (25 g = approx. 160 m)
There are many good yarn alternatives, as mica yarn might scratch a little - for example, it can be replaced with ordinary cotton yarn with a similar tension.
Gauge/tension: Needle size 3.5 mm: 10 cm = approx. 24 sts
