✨ Whimsical swirls, with a map to follow

These Coppola Mittens are whimsical cold weather mittens finished with guided surface stitching. I’m not going to let you do those swirls blind! Chain 1 spaces show you exactly where to go, so have no fear.

Sizes run from newborn to large adult, and they’re part of the matching Coppola set.

✨ What makes it work

• Guided surface stitching. Chain 1 spaces mark the path for the swirls.
• Two hooks. A smaller hook for the mitten body, a larger one for the surface stitching.
• Six sizes. Newborn to large adult.

✂️ What you’ll need

• Yarn: Rios, Malabrigo or Malabrigo Worsted (worsted), 50 to 205 yds depending on size. Colors shown: Indiecita (A, or color of choice), Natural (B)
• Love a swap? Any worsted works as long as you meet gauge: Swish Worsted, WeCrochet · Merino 3/6, Fleece Artist · Tosh Vintage, Madelinetosh · Gloria, Manos del Uruguay · 220 Superwash Merino, Cascade Yarns · Classy, Dream in Color
• Hook: G (4.0mm) for the mitten body and H (5.0mm) for surface stitching only
• Tools: Scissors · Yarn Needle

• Newborn (Baby/Toddler, Preschool, Child, Adult, Adult Large)
• Length, top to cuff: 3 ½ (4 ¾, 6 ½, 7 ¼, 9, 9 ½)“
• Width across fingers: 2 ¾ (2 ¾, 3 ⅛, 3 ½, 3 ¾, 4 ¼)“
