This pattern is (and was initially meant to be) bi-colored. I made a three-colored version for a test knit just out of curiosity, and liked the result. However, the mittens turned out a little too large for MY XS hands, so the pattern was modified to fit a smaller hand (in final version the thumbs are a few rows shorter and placed a few rows higher). Since I was unable to decide which version has more potential, I included both in the PDF. There are two charts for mitten body: three-colored larger, and bi-colored smaller size; plus, you will get two different pattern versions for the thumbs (the same size, with or without flower, and a larger-sized three-color chart).
